WIT: On the Rocks, With a Twist

October 10, 2011

It’s a special moment when someone you care about says those three magical words: Winter Indy Tweetup. Just hearing it is enough to invoke heart-warming memories of the basement at IMS, karting with friends, meeting drivers, getting free IndyCar swag… the list goes on and on.

You may have convinced yourself that WIT couldn’t possibly get any better. As always, we’re here to one-up ourselves and make this year’s event even better! To that end, we’re trying something a little different this year and, quite frankly, we’re like two schoolgirls in a candy store.
What? That’s not how the saying goes? Who cares – we love candy. Not as much as we love IndyCar, so let’s stay focused.

So far, WIT has been about getting IndyCar fans together to celebrate the past season. This year, it’s going to be about getting fans together (both new AND diehard!) to celebrate and chat about the upcoming season. 2012 will mark the beginning of a new era and we’ll settle for nothing less than kicking it off in style. Here’s what you need to know:

Winter Indy Tweetup
February 24-26, 2012
Indianapolis – The Racing Capital of the World

As usual, we can’t give away the surprises, but we can tell you to expect a few of the old favorites with a whole lotta new, cool features. We’re working with our friends from IndyCar, some new sponsors and the hottest locations in Indy to make WIT 3.0 better than your wildest dreams.

Are you excited? We can’t hear you. ARE YOU EXCITED? If so, leave a comment below. Also, we’re still open to ideas so feel free to make suggestions if there’s something you’d like to see at WIT. Mark your calendars – there’s NO WAY you should miss this.

Guess I don’t need to save a vacation day this year for the WIT. But overall I think having it as season kick off is probably a good move. Looking forward too it!

Ahh… “Twists” and almost 3 months later than before… When there MIGHT NOT BE A FOOT OF SNOW ON THE TRACK. I can only imagine what you have up your sleeves. Regardless, I wouldn’t miss it for the world. Had I not attended WIT 1.0 there probably wouldn’t be a Glass Hammer Racing today, and certainly not with such an awesome logo!

MIGHT not be snow…MIGHT being the operative word, since this is Indiana!! We’ve got our fingers crossed. And it wouldn’t be the same without you there!

I am there! Well, assuming we don’t get another appocolyptic blizzard that leaves me stranded in Fort Wayne.

We’ve always thought that pretty much the worst thing about WIT was the strong possibility of bad weather…but, then again, part of MIT got rained out this year, so I guess we’re really never safe. Already doing the go-away-snow dance for February, though!!

I hear you, Andy. After missing the MIT this past year, I am determined to avoid DIMWIT status too. Hope to bring the whole family to at least a few of the events.
